Illustrated with many props and accurate reconstructions, insight will be given into the equipment, training and life of the medieval archer, and their devastating impact during the famous Battle of Agincourt.
Neil Eddiford has been working as a lecturer and historical interpreter for more than three decades, demonstrating historic archery and fletching (arrow making), and has provided experimental archaeology for Bristol University and various television programs, including Channel 4's Time Team. He runs sword-schools for adults and children, is chair of Taunton Longsword Association, and co-founder of the Bowlore medieval display group.
The Palace Lectures are a series of talks across the year. Covering an assortment of intruguing and interesting topics the talks are delivered by historians, gardeners and subject experts.
